Here’s the insider tip: To make the most of the Sicilian snowkiting adventure, keep your weekends open and be ready to jet off when we signal the green light. The uniqueness of this destination lies in the fact that we can only guarantee favorable wind and snow conditions one week before the scheduled trip. While the ideal time to snowkite in Sicily is during December and January, this window of opportunity is delightfully brief. Yet, rest assured, the memories forged during this unforgettable weekend will linger long after the snow has melted away.
Unfortunately, as you would know if you kitesurf often, the wind even in perfect and renown kiting spots doesn’t always pan-out. So we at Snowkite Sensation make sure that there is plenty for you to do in this unfortunate scenario.
Other winter sports: while Sicily may not be your typical winter wonderland, it’s a realm of endless possibilities. When the winds don’t favor snowkiting, other winter sports beckon. Ski on the slopes of Mount Etna, selecting the North or South side depending on the snow conditions. For the adventurous, guided hikes up the crater await, ensuring a safe and breathtaking experience.
Gastronomy: beyond the snowkiting thrill, Sicilian cuisine takes center stage. Influenced by Spanish, Greek, and Arabic cultures, it’s a mosaic of flavors waiting to be explored.
